Collien Fernandes was born on September 26, 1981, in Hamburg, Germany. Fame came early on for her, as she was already signed to a modeling contract by the age of 15. Collien Fernandes started in TV commercials pitching products like pudding, and quickly getting comfortable performing for a television audience.
While Collien Fernandes was obviously enjoying the attention of television, she also developed a love for music, which prompted her to join the band Yam Yam and later get professional dance training at Hamburg's Academy of Dance Arts. After studying further in London, Collien Fernandes was eager to (literally) take the next step, and she did, as a background dancer in music videos for big-name stars like Shaggy and Enrique Iglesias. She subsequently joined a new band at that time called Suco e Sol, and the group would later release an album that made both the German and Majorca charts.
